Renew Brighton Charitable Trust was incorporated in 2012 to support the community's efforts to withstand the negative impact of the Canterbury Earthquake. Over the years, the Trust has facilitated collective action on issues important to the community.
We have collaborated with other agencies to promote community participation and activate a sense of ownership for Renew Brighton's regeneration efforts.
Our role is to assist New Brighton people in tackling local social and economic issues, whether by removing barriers to accessing food, information services, embracing digital opportunities or improving community connections.
Our work is grounded in Community Led Development principles, and all projects are initiated by local people seeking action on matters important to them.
