Community Lead Development Project
This is a placed-based, collaborative, community led development project, located in the Central Brighton area. Its purpose is to bring together the organisations (funders, agencies, NGO’s, and community groups) to work with residents, using Community-led Development approaches that empowers residents to find solutions to community issues that are important to them. It places a focus on facilitation and collaboration, through using a holistic and people-centred approach.
The project explored how to start and further a conversation around creating a shared vision for Brighton which groups and individuals would all be working towards. It also places a focus on exploring the causational factors of many of social and wellbeing issues and how these could be addressed.
It will also explore options for enabling and utilising community strengths and abilities to create local solutions to local issues. While also exploring the opportunity of creating a collaborative community network which will enable strong synergies among and between stakeholders.
